1. Build & Capacity

• Chassis Compatibility: Typically mounted on 1.5 to 3-ton GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight) chassis (e.g., Tata Ace, Mahindra Jeeto, or Ashok Leyland Dost).

• Body Volume: Usually ranges from 1.5 $m^3$ to 2.5 $m^3$.

• Material: High-quality Mild Steel (MS) or Stainless Steel (SS) for the inner lining to prevent corrosion from wet waste.

2. Dual-Bin System (Dry & Wet Waste)

• Partitioned Body: The hopper is often divided into two compartments (60:40 or 50:50 ratio) to facilitate source segregation as per Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Rules.

• Color Coding: Often painted Green (Wet Waste) and Blue (Dry Waste) for easy identification by the public and operators.

3. Tipping & Hydraulic System

• Mechanism: Rear-end tipping with a high-angle discharge (up to 85) to ensure the sticky wet waste is completely cleared.

• Hydraulics: Underbody single-stage telescopic cylinder powered by a 12V/24V DC Hydraulic Power Pack (independent of the engine) or a PTO-driven pump.

• Cycle Time: Extremely fast tipping cycle (1520 seconds) for high-frequency collection routes.

4. Key Operational Features

• Sliding/Top Covers: Equipped with manually operated sliding lids or PVC covers to prevent odor and ensure waste doesn't fly out during transit.

• Leachate Collection: A built-in tray or drain plug at the bottom to collect and dispose of liquid waste (leachate) hygienically.
